I wouldn’t have thought anyone got the blame for this mishap! Cheers Haddy.
Reminds me of when we used to regularly deliver to farms. I’ve lost count of the times I’ve been told, “It’s only wet on top- it’s all hard underneath”. Another favourite was, “We’ve had bigger lorries than that in here”.
One presumes that the Dock Maintenance Officer hadn’t made his regular inspection with his Ground Penetration Radar?
Here is one for this thread looks like he even has one hand in his pocket

By risking long-term injuries to people, that’s how. Just reading on here, there are retired drivers with back, leg, arm and hearing problems, just from driving the badly-designed vehicles. The unions are spineless nowadays; the HSE is the little man’s only protector against bad bosses.
From the bosses’ viewpoint, here will always be ■■■■-sure show-offs, who do dangerous things for a laugh or to cut corners- the rules are there to make sure honest employers are not taken to the cleaners by dirty solicitors, when the idiots take a fall. It works both ways, when it works.
totally agree mate anything that can stop injury has to be a good thing , if you are not an employer, fredm happy xmas all
