Many times i have seen trucks at the top of the ski resort,mostly new German wagon and drags,bulk tippers,all types and Aston Martin DB7`s,BMW,Porsche,all the vehicles have blanked out sides,men with computers feeding information,going up and down the mountain all day.If you are ever in the area,head for the Alahambra palace signs,and turn to Sierra Nevada signs,at the top,there is a fork to the left,both routes take you to the top.To walk to the peak,takes about 6 hours,its 11 kms away,but they run shuttle buses to the ski areas in the Summer too.What are the manufacturers testing as it all looks top secret,latest models,that they dont want you to see.Jap copycats get thrown off the alps.■■
Don’t know what there testing up there but they do lots of new car lauches around Marbella. BMW recently built a village of some sort on the Estepona showground. They also do a lot of filming and testing on the Marbella to Ronda road, it’s considered to be one of the top 5 drives in the world.
The new cars and trucks are covered up with sheets of plastic,looks very strange.Ronda,never been,but its medieval town high up on old walls,and cliffs.

Fabulous stretch of road that, just don’t go over the edge 
Scenery is amazing too, took loads of photos when I was up there a few weeks back. Watch out for the Guardia though, they seem to like the road as much as everybody else
