would you cross a pickett line or not
These threads might be of interest to you, and yes, of course I would.
Sorry, I go to work to earn money, so I’d cross 1. I’d even go in and drive their trucks whilst they’re on strike.
NO.
interesting that on the other threads (and no doubt on this one shortly) people will be saying that they will cross picket lines.
This is strange when half the posts on here complain that drivers don’t stick together and so never get a good deal.
but when other workers do stick together plenty of posters will be saying I will cross the line(and as the second post claims, will even drive their trucks).
so, whats it to be, sticking together a good thing or not?
I am with Phil on this, for me to cross a picket line the circumstances would have to be very strange.
On the other hand, it’s a shame that factory workers, whilst wanting every truck driver to hounour their picket lines, will happily tip or load a truck which is being driven by a strike breaker if truckers are on strike.
Have done, and would again. Their dispute is not my concern.
and thats why the rates are ■■■■ in this industry drivers are there own worst enamy .and have to work 60 plus hours a week to make a decent living . some of you deserve what you get

+1
Nobody mentioned fuel tank drivers.
But using them as an example.
If you do not support them and they lose their dispute, (wages and conditions reduced etc), do you not realise that this will have a knock on effect to the rest of the industry in general.
If they are weakened then the rest of you will also be, not massively, but the ■■■■■■■■■■■ effect of lots of companies doind this WILL weaken the strength of the rest of you.
If you can remove the jealousy of the good wages that the fuel drivers have enjoyed in the past, and think more that the industry needs some top earners in order to be able to use their wages in negotiations for the lesser paid.
There is only one winner if workers don’t stick together…and it ain’t ever the workers.
well said that man
Scab Scum if you cross a pickett line

The rates are ■■■■ because there’s more drivers than jobs.
If I didn’t go and cross the picket line, the next guy would, maybe not even a brit, there’s plenty of foreigners itching for our jobs.
The days of a strike working are long gone, I say “if you don’t like it, leave”.

And that’s exactly why I would cross it, because of dinosaurs who just come out with outdated crap like that without knowing the reasons for,or anything about the person, crossing.
so tell us Coffee , why you would cfoss a picket line. Not just the fuel tankers lines.

Err, I just told you why in my last post. It ■■■■■■ off union people.
and thats it?
regardless of who or why, that is your sole reason?
would you cross a nurses picket line?

Pretty much.

Any picket line. I’m not in a union, have never been in a union and never will be in a union and they have no right to tell me what I can or cannot do or where I can or cannot go.
