Very sad news, Phil Hughes passed away at around 4 a.m. UK time, following his head injury in a recent domestic match.
Very sad, goes to show that head injuries are tricky things. People fall from great heights and crack their skulls with no I’ll effects, whilst others trip in the street and never get up.
Yes very sad and so very freakish too by the sound of it an inch or two either side he would have recovered. Obviously you feel for friends and family the most but i bet Sean Abbott doesn’t want to ever play the game again and will have this forever on his mind.

That’s a good point.
Agreed - both guys are victims, Phil paying the ultimate price, and Sean haunted by it for the rest of his life.
Only 25 and 22 respectively - what an awful accident.
Let`s also not forget Shumacher and Bianchi, who are both still in deep trouble with their head injuries.
