Phew - what a morning!

congratulations on the pass mate well done

Well done caitlinsdad, this is my first browse on this part of trucknet, Iā€™m usually reminising over my driving days with the other old ā– ā– ā– ā– ā–  on ā€œold time drivers and companiesā€! I still remember my pass day, (march '86) so know how youā€™re feeling. Good luck in your driving career and I hope you get as much enjoyment from it as I did. Youā€™ll be ā€œreminisingā€ on here in the future too!

Best regards,

Mark (brookie).

Many thanks all

Just gotta do my module 4, then Iā€™ll get my digi tacho card sent off for and maybe, in the near future, Iā€™ll go back and do my class C+E.

However, there is a spanner in the works. 2 days after I booked my C course, I was offered a job with a nationwide retail company doing collection and delivery in vans. I got the Team Managerā€™s job where the hourly rate works out better than what some agiences pay for class 2 work. My last employment contract ended at the end of August, so with a mortgage and young family, I canā€™t really afford to be too choosy. I will try and register with agencies and try and get some work for one day every other weekend, just to build up some experience. Then, if my new job doesnā€™t work out, or I hate it, then at least I have something to fall back on.

Cheers,

CDā€¦
