Hi all,
Just signed up on the forum, I’m looking for any information on my late brother’s company called ‘Pevensey Lowloaders’, from around the 60’s-70’s era. He had a big old Foden (I think it was, it may have been an old Guy) and used to haul a lot of plant machinery about. The driver’s name was ‘Noddy’, surname unknown.
Any information, photos, etc would be gratefully received.
Cheers,
Rich

Was the drivers mates name Big Ears?
Bit more information has come to light…Noddy’s real name was Jim Foyle, and the truck was probably an AEC. There was also a second, possibly a Bedford of some sort, both painted green.
Brother did a lot of work for the local water board, I’m told, hauling draglines and various other machinery mainly in the South of England.
Any more information/photos would be gratefully appreciated.

After much searching, my niece (my late brother’s eldest daughter) has managed to find a couple of pictures of the old AEC outfit…excuse the quality, but these are scans of photos dating back to the late 60’s.
