Petrol diesel hit all time high

Are we going to hit 10 Quid a gallon this time around? euractiv.com/section/europe … s-deepens/

Which obviously means that there is high demand for oil no one is buying the climate scam.
So lots of parked up cars when people have to make the choice between mortgage and council tax v petrol for the car.
So the government hits EV’s with fuel taxes on top of the 30p + per kWh to get back some of the lost revenues.Together with a collapsed automotive supply sector.
All so that Bozo can export our oil while making us reliant on his nuclear fuelled utopia.
That’ll fix it.

I should imagine the government would love that to be the case, Less cars on the road less pollution more people on public transport. I read the other day that transport for Cornwall like greater Manchester has piloted a scheme & reduced fares substantially by 40% to get more people out of cars & onto buses. transport-network.co.uk/Cor … sidy/17679

Are we in for round two of sky high fuel prices? Oil prices surge on news that the EU proposes an embargo of Russian crude & fuel imports. I see lots of yellow vests taking to the streets again. express.co.uk/news/uk/16…-joe-Biden-ont

Great so we go back to the 1930s in terms of travel but with 21st century inter city train fares added to all the other transfer costs.
Good luck with replacing the family motoring holiday. If they can’t afford the petrol they certainly won’t be able to afford all the combined travel costs door to door and touring around on arrival.Let alone having to haul all the luggage around.
Better to stay at home.
The government obviously loses all that road fuel tax either way.So who is going to pay for this nuke fuelled utopia.

Yes somethings got to give, Germany is going through the same thing with half wanting to go back to coal/nuclear & the other half saying absolutely not. The trouble is since Clientearth won their court case so every man & his dog can now sue over climate change, Investors are now running scared of losing value in their portfolios because of the huge surge in lawsuits, Between 2017-2021 saw the biggest surge of lawsuits ever against entities like oil companies with over 1800 cases from different organizations/countries around the world. insurancejournal.com/news/i … 651089.htm

The German issue is that they are slowly realising the benefits of coal over the safety and cost of nuclear
Sooner or later the real Greens will have to make that simple choice.Fluffy windmills won’t cut it.
In addition to burning living trees in the form of biomass which not only means the loss of their lifespan CO2 processing ability but also their Oxygen contribution as part of that.
Even if CO2 did cook Venus which it didn’t.
It’s clear that the rest are melons red on the inside and their agenda is all about what they perceive as wealth redistribution and what’s good for their Communist handlers in Beijing.
All moot because the courts don’t make the laws.If the government says that were out of the Paris Accord and the net zero bs on national security grounds then the courts are bound by that decision. We aren’t governed by courts or what’s the point of voting.
While no true Green activist would see nuclear and biomass as a lesser evil than fossil fuel.Let alone when this anti fossil fuel utopian nightmare means the choice between eat or heat for limited income groups.

Germany is frantically buying up every massive offshore floating LNG terminal ship it can lay it’s hands on with four bought in the last few weeks, Building new LNG regasification terminals from scratch will take around five years. Germany is also preparing to take over critical energy firms in the event of a sudden halt in Russian gas supplies. :open_mouth:
euractiv.com/section/energy … emlin-gas/

The verdict on the EU’s Fit for 55 green deal is forecast for tomorrow 11th May with a leak today saying it could well be upped to 70% before the 2030 combustion ban :open_mouth: That would really screw up a lot of the legacy automakers plans. The stranded assets of ICE automakers will be an utter nightmare to deal with so soon. :open_mouth:

The EU supposedly intends to wipe out fossil fuel use while Germany is trying to secure all the fossil fuel supplies that it can get its hands on.Whos trying to fool who here.

EV charging companies prices are rising as fast as petrol/diesel prices nowadays. :open_mouth: Just got an email from BE.EV. who operate around a thousand chargers in the greater Manchester area saying their prices are going up on the 23rd May.
Fast chargers £0.49/kWh.
Rapid chargers £0.59/kWh.
Public transport using my old pharts concessionary travel pass it is then. :grimacing:

Average fill up of diesel now tops £100 for the first time :open_mouth: fleetnews.co.uk/news/fleet- … -go-higher

Price of diesel in Spain has just been reduced.Whether this includes the current 20c/lt.reduction or is in addition to it,I don’t yet know.Last time I refilled I paid 1.54/lt.euros inc.the 20c.reduction.

Like the 1970’s this country is sitting on an ocean of oil and gas and a mountain of coal.
But the domestic market gets ripped off with higher prices for fuel than countries with none.
Now with the added excuse of ‘climate change’ which means even higher prices for us, in the form of carbon taxes, so that Boris can export more of it.
Bearing in mind the muppet has stated an intention of equalising fossil fuel prices with electric obviously both domestic and road fuel.

Remember the government announced a month ago to help the poor motorists and knocked 5p off a litre. How much has it gone up since then?

Same with the energy rebate or what ever you want to call it ,people just don’t get it, put something up 800 quid and give a one off rebate of 150/400 quid back[emoji848], you really ain’t getting nothing in reality.

5p v 85p duty + 20% VAT on the duty.
Bearing in mind the government has openly stated an intent to force the change to electric by applying a punitive price regime to oil and gas.

This is what happens when the legacy of tory greed to the oil corporations comes home to roost.
Sovereign wealth fund (like Norway) from the profits of the oil that is sold overseas etc? Nope.
Subsidize the cost of fuels / heating with the millions of extracted and refined hydrocarbons we pull from the North Sea and Irish Sea? Nope.
Sell on the common market around the world so oil corporation fat cats get mega-rich and motorists get shafted? Absolutely, yay to hyper-capitalism!

£1.80 for unleaded in Weymouth today , that’s £60 fill up Sunday , £50 today , doubt that will get us home , and don’t mention the £8.10 for 3 hrs parking in Bournemouth , £3 for a ice cream , and our sister said let’s meet up in this country for a few days as abroad is too dear !!!
Feel sorry for youngsters with kids , must really be stinging them at moment

The LibLab side of the LabLibCon uniparty are all onside with the agenda to put fossil fuel beyond economic use on the domestic market so it can be exported.
While tying us to a captive market for unaffordable dangerous anything but green nuclear fuelled electric at 30p heading for 50p per kWh + road fuel tax and 20% VAT.
This is what the ‘climate scam’ believers voted for.

Many of the ‘youngsters’ are saying that we must all stop using cars and use bicycles. If not directly protesting against fossil fuel use by sabotaging fuel stations. No sympathy for em.This is what they voted for now we have to pay for it.In this case by oil and gas prices being artificially ramped up to force us to go all electric.Bearing in mind that 1 litre of petrol contains around £3 worth of electricity.Thats without the fuel duty and 20% VAT.Good luck with the domestic fuel bill when these climate scum force us to go all electric.

They’re going to need a bunch of good lawyers it would seem! ClientEarth, Friends of the Earth, and Good Law Project are challenging the UK Government in the high court yesterday as their net-zero strategy is inadequate stating the UK Government has failed in its legal obligations under the Climate Change Act to produce climate policies that will ensure that legally binding UK carbon budgets will be met.

Greenpeace are also challenging them in the courts over the ‘Jackdaw’ oil & gas field too.

If a re-map really did give more power and better mpg without problems.
Why didn`t the manufacturer do that from the start?
They really arent nasty people who enjoy making things hard for drivers*.

  • I do have to keep reminding myself.

My mrs fst is 180 hp as standard , you could have it mapped by mountune to 215 hp , that had a Ford warranty on it ,
My mrs has now been mapped for 3 + yrs and had no issues , no interest in mpg , just wanted more power , I’d guess there very few who have there car mapped for mpg , just power

Ripped a quarter of a tank of vpower off yesterday morning.
Felt good.

The Paris Accord makes it clear that the ‘climate’ agenda is fossil fuel use redistribution not leaving it in the ground.
In addition to the hypocrisy of EU states like Germany and now even France who have no intention of replacing fossil fuel consumption with dangerous unaffordable nuclear electric.
The UK government’s policy of nuclear for us so that it can export our oil and gas is in line with that. The UK ‘climate change’ act obviously only applies to domestic consumption. Not foreign and with it UK fossil fuel exports.
