perth parking

Does anyone know we’re the lorry park is in Perth

Dundee?

You want the South Inch lorry and coach parking ,its at the river side not far from the harbour area.

There is a small lorry park in Auchterarder. I do mean small, no room for an artic, just 6 or 7 spaces for rigids up to about 18 tonne size. It’s a lovely spot though, right in the town centre, lots of pubs and “carry oots” within spitting distance.

Depends where you are going to but there plenty of space to park down inveralmond and its right on the A9

The park at the river.
Just plan your way in as there are a few bridges to contend with.
If you are heading north onM9, come off at the one before Perth (haven,t got a map to hand sorry) and approach via Harbour road. No problems heading out to A9 if you follow truck route out. Some local on here may give you more details for next time.

if your coming up the m90 come off at the inverness turnoff but head for perth along edinburgh road, then head past tesco/the prison and turn right at the traffic lights then turn right again

From the A9 (any direction) come off at Broxden services, Head down Glasgow road towards the city centre. continue straight down the road till your on south street (just dont go that way on a friday night at like 2/3am blooming taxi drivers) at the end of the road turn right (Tay Street) then continue under the bridge ( 14ft height restriction this way though)

The problem with that Gogzy is I’m 14.6

yea so its either broxden services for the night/inveralmond or you could head down to junction 9 of the m90 and turn back on yourself

though dont know why anyone would want to go through the town to park down the front.

Maybe something to do with that pub where some of the students practice pole dancing.(so I’m told  )

Nice :sunglasses: Not been to Scotland in a truck since 2009

Broxden has a new surface tank now so spaces are limited nowadays. But there is a restaurant, mcdonalds and a shop (at services) there.

Inveralmond is only a short walk from a restaurant (same style as Broxden, weavers mill style place). There is also a Greggs and countless burger vans there during daytime.

South Inch is busy enough with lorries and buses so safe enough, short walk from the town centre but depending on when you are there the park can be busy with yoofs skateboarding.

Someone mentioned Auchterarder above, if you aren’t worried about shops, pass through to Abruthven and you can get parked on the business park across from the Land Rover garage. close to the road but not much else happening.

A better idea of where you are going and when and we might be able to hit you with some local hotspots, (Coupar Angus is a popular stop if heading north on the A90, pub/restaurant (showers), shops, chippy)

Who is a naughty boy then. The signage clearly states BUSES ONLY. If any one else is coming up this way ,head for Asda in Perth Dunkeld Road. Lots of lorries park up there, Asda obviously and McDonalds on site.

Signage looks very much like it says HGV (and buses) only, no cars.

That has been gone for a good number of years. There is a Tesco on the site now. I have memories of the Perth Transport Cafe when I was a young cyclist more than fifty years ago. They did a good value meal back then. The place closed and was demolished, then the transportel was built. I went a few times but it had a different vibe! There were lots of women (not young) wandering about the place wearing mini kilts. I wondered what they were doing there as I didnt think that they were lorry drivers. I was young bye the way.

Google Perth Skate park. If you park opposite it on Shore road and are in and out between 6pm and gone by 8am its free. South Inch Car park (very close )dosen’t allow HGV’s .
the railway bridge on Tay street is 14foot (4.3 m )
the one on Princess st 15ft 9 (4.8 m)
the one on Scott st 14.6
