well i havent posted for a while…but for the past 18 months ish i have been working on the bins driving the bin wagons and recycling wagons… Anyway they advertised for jobs a few weeks ago only downer is the pay rate is less than what i am on agency i do a 37 hour week and take home about £270 a week that is changing to a 45 hour week and i will still be payed the same roughly.
there is also a dilemma that basically there was about 10 that applied for 5 positions and without being funny i have been there one of the longest along with 2 of the other applicants (other applicants have been there about 6 months i think at the most)
would anyone else be ■■■■■■ if they was not given one of the jobs as i will certainly be.
the bins maybe not an ideal job to most but the lads are good and i am home at a normal hour everyday and whilst the kids are young i want to see them grow up…till there teenagers anyway lol…
there is also that security thing and i wont come uder the agency worker bracket any longer
hope this post makes some sense and if anyone reads it and is one of the other applicants best of luck to you as well
Brilliant news is that, well chuffed for you…& roll on the New year It’s great that you’ll spend more time with your kids too , they’re only young once!!
congrats on the job, at least you will have the security of a full time job, better conditions than agencies … call the tax credit dept and see if you can get more money now,!!!

really not sure how much but also call the local council and ask for housing benefits if you have kids. remember to get everything you are entitled to from the government they rip you off so much over there in the UK. good lick with the job, if you are entitled to tax credits and you get say £20 per week save it towards your class one!!
