DRIVES ME UP THE WALL?!?!?! GRR
More annoying are those who indicate for the exit they’re approaching, then carry on to the next.
Or the ones that use incorrect signals.
those who decide to turn off… brake first… then indicate…
Or the ones that use hazard warning lights to park illegally or during unloading a vehicle.
People who indicate right & keep indicating right even when they are coming off at the exit before you, especially when your running fully freighted & have to stop, then use 5 gallons of GoGo Juice to get going again.
One of the most pointless jobs in the world is the position of Indicator Fitter in the BMW Factory !
You guys would really love this one.
Imagine the scenario. You approach it from the direction that the google car has come from.
You stop because dead opposite is a car indicating to turn right, he got to the line before you.
You wait thinking he or she is intending to turn across your path only for them to go straight on.
Why do people indicate right to go straight across a roundabout (specifically this one- ALOT!!)?
Any other time and they don’t indicate at all anyway.
Some don’t use them so habitually, I wonder why they have indicators fitted at all.
I was always taught to use indicators all the time regardless of other users. Now they are taught you don’t have to indicate if nothing is around. There lies the issue. I have been known to jump out after I have cut someone up who’s road position and lack of indicator has caused me to do it. They don’t forget.

Not quite true. Any basic driver will be taught to use indicators all the time as they have not got the knowledge or experience to know when they are not required unless something has changed recently but I somehow doubt it very much.
Both my daughter’s and nephews were taught the same by three different instructors. The logic being if there’s no one there why indicate. I had a fairly heated conversation with one instructor over it. I told my kids they must indicate no harm will come of it if no one’s there
Wow.
A whole half hour before Albion had his statutory dig at hgv drivers

First time I have heard of that. Were they properly qualified instructors? Just been on the phone to my mate who is a current ADI and he says he would never do that and knows nobody else that would either.
Rog what do you say about it? Have you heard of basic car drivers being told not to indicate when nobody else around?

Just the bad ones.
All four passed first time. Have no reason to lie and were all adi instructors. They were however all young compared to my years. If they were teaching it lots of others would. The same as not using engine braking nowadays. Scarey
Ps that link doesn’t work for me

Not saying you were, just did not realise this was being done. I am like you and think drivers(especially new ones) should signal at all times.
It’s amazing how often a signal can help even a pedestrian but a lot of drivers do not think of that when they don’t bother.
Sorry you can’t read the link. Quite interesting.
Found the link. Very good.

Not quite.
He’s having another dig at me over on the slip road thread. Sure he’ll be here in a minute.
I dangled the bait, and “one of em” took it.
Yep, Albion!!
And sure enough!!
