People really will do anything to winge about us

Someone, probably an ‘appalled’ member of the public, has take it upon themselves to take a picture of a wagon waiting for a parked vehicle to move and send it to the local paper :unamused:

I bet he was waiting for all of 5 minutes for the van driver to return from his delivery. The disruption down that side road must have been chaotic, I can only imagine the distress caused.

Have they nothing else to report on…must be a quiet week in Weston!

No doubt the lorry haters will have a field day writing in to the paper slating the lorry driver for daring to drive through their village. :unamused:

The fact that the vans are parked badly won’t come into it.

The article does mention the fact that both vans are parked on double yellows…never mind, don’t let that spoil a good whinge!

It’s a back road with servicing to shops off it, the vans will more than likely have been legitimately loading.

It’s a non event a local has tried making into a scandal, that was the point.

‘weston girl’ dosen’t want HGV lorries down her road…so she won’t want a fire engine then when her house is on fire

I can let you have something for that paranoia!

The way I’m reading it, the story is more about vans parking on double yellows, and forcing large vehicles to block the road rather than winging about the lorry.

Where’s the story where people are winging about us

A WESTON road was blocked this morning (Fri) after a lorry was unable to drive around two vans parked on double yellow lines.

The Hicks Logistics lorry was forced to stop and wait in Palmer Street, a one-way road, blocking it to other traffic.

There’s only one comment that says the roads aren’t suitable for HGVs, but even she says the vans shouldn’t be parked on the double yellow lines.

The story is dated June 14th anyway, so it’s a couple of weeks old

if it’s anything like my town the vans won’t of been able to get into a loading bay for blue badge holders, but they won’t mention that.

if you look on google maps there’s a “van’s to go” vehicle in the same place

Looks to me like most are in support of the lorry…
