Let’s hope they can sort out the queues. It took me 2 1/4 hrs today to get an empty box lifted off at Felixstowe. The Southampton terminal is a bigger joke. Been sat there for four hours waiting to get sorted. Known drivers pull out of the queue because they’ve run out of time.
I had a almost two weeks of Pentalvers at Southampton recently, dropping loaded boxes in for short term storage and then picking them up to take to the military dock at Marchwood a few days later.
Most times was there about two hours lifting off/on, but quite a few times it ran into four to five hours a throw ! I hope the new owners sort that place out once and for all
The ipad came in handy for watching recorded TV shows
Anybody hoping for improvements is likely to be disappointed. The yanks are big into health and safety so it will long delays with extra helping of h&s.
Freightliner sites don’t exactly cover themselves in glory for queues, so don’t expect any changes. They have no reason to bother because hauliers have no choice but to use them & generally just bend over and accept it anyway.
There will be no improvements to queueing times whatsoever. It’s still the same idiots running it just a new parent company.
Even on nights…
Out of Felix, Pentalvers queue frequently started at the main roundabout.
Maybe it still does?

Ain’t that the truth, as soon as they took over Freightliner you had to be wearing safety helmet, glasses, hi vis which must be fastened at the front and of course safety boots. At Freightliner Doncaster you have to hand your keys in while your being booked in. But you still have to queue for hours sometimes.
Highly doubt the queues will change, container storage sites answer to the shipping lines. They can’t be too pleased about it but they let it happen.

Safety helmet, glasses, hi vis, boots is enough but to have to hand in your keys as well? Sod that…The more i hear of all this ■■■■■■■■ H&S always makes me so glad i dont work in the UK…
Freightliner at Trafford Park is dreadful at times. 2hr wait not uncommon.
