First time visit tomorrow, what’s the procedure there? Is it all intercoms like Southampton? What are they like for turnaround times?

Gatehouse will give you a ticket, drive round to an inspector type guy who will sign your ticket and look in your box, pull forward a bit where he tells you, box off and on (if applicable). Usually quick turnround, good yard.
It’s the best of the lot. Very quick.
