PDP - petroleum Drivers Passport

HELP!!! I’m class one driver (C , C+E) and got my ADR in tankers but I’m having difficulty in finding somewhere or someone who trains drivers on PDP, both theory and Pracitual.

Any suggestions!

Thanks

From what I read it seems a catch 22 many firms won’t start you without it but the only way to do it is through an employer.
I believe hoyer like to recruit non experienced drivers and train them up

You can only get theory done by yourself, but only valid for 4 months. The practical part has to be done in the terminal, so you need a employer for that.
Try to get in to firms through agency. That’s the way I’ve done it
Good luck

Hi Trucker-Millward,

From the info you’ve given, it’s not quite clear what your intention is, or whether you might have been misinformed…

A PDP is only needed if you need to go into a refinery to load certain products, but if you plan to do home heating oil or the like and you load from a stock tank in your yard, then you won’t need a PDP.

I just thought to mention it because there’s quite a bit of misinformation about PDP doing the rounds.
