PC Angus Cairn and log books

I saw a cop tv docu,he pulled over a bulker, the Polish driver did not fill in his log book for bone meal transport,he worked for an Irish firm, and was arrested,as he may not appear for the court appearance, the offence was for record keeping, and hours, but what was the log book about,i dont understand that,it seems he was not driving under tacho regs, and forgot to fill it and log what he was doing the day before.

Who is Angus Cairn?

Exemptions from EU regulations

Vehicles used for carrying animal waste or carcasses which are not intended for human consumption.

Vehicles used for carrying live animals from farms to local markets and vice versa or from markets to local slaughterhouses

although debatable for bonemeal, the driver would be on Domestic Hours for which he could record his duty in a drivers log book

Angus was in the right, the driver came over as a dishonest driver, paid on more loads and miles, the truck was parked up,the driver banged up,as one time he said northern ireland resident then changed the story to southern ireland.Think the driver was taking the mickey on abuse of the log book.

Angus was an ex trucker, now a TV cop,and does the under cover police tractor unit that films us cooking/texting/phoning/knocking one out while driving.

Angus Nairn :unamused: :unamused: :unamused: :unamused: :unamused: .

Thats the one. :unamused:

Angus mecoatup…Who cares?

He’s old news on this forum. Its all been said about him :arrow_right:  .

at the end of the programme they tell you what happened to him, he was given a caution and made to take an 11 hour rest period

what annoys me about these programmes is the dramatic effect THE LORRY CRASHED STRAIGHT INTO THE BACK OF A CAR IN THE OUTSIDE LANE, cue to camera of a transit pick up

did laugh at the overweight transit van getting pullled and the drivers response about the police having it in for his company till the put him on the weighbridge found well overweight and he had to empty most of the gear out of the back, including two barrow loads of cement from the half tonne he had in the back…

any normal copper would have parked up the driver for 11 hours, and maybe give him a fine.
but it was aberdeen angus :unamused: . he locked him up, wasted time, money, and resourses. then parked him up.
what a [zb]ing ■■■■.

exactly mate, coming across as the big fella in front of the tv cameras turns out all he could do is park him up and caution him, good dramatiastion for the tv but for people in the know just makes him look a tool

He wore his sunglasses like the bike out riders from CHIPS,Californian Highway Patrol, remember that in my yoof.

At the beginning of that programme was a police radio message. It said;

“Attention all you nits”

He is a bit of a fanny tbh. Not a fan

And to make matters worse, he’s a ■■■■■■■ twin…There’s 2 of the ugly gits out there! :open_mouth:

He aint got that Scania seen on tv anymore, past me the other night pulling a Target Trl, so he must have a new one.

Genuine, polite and even had a bit of a laugh about my indiscretions  before letting me away with a few sarcastic words of advice about my driving
