Payrise 2015

Whose got what then ? Considering the government is emphasising that this year wages will have good increases?!?
I’ve had 2%
oh and that’s non negotiable with our union if anyone can shed any light on if that’s not allowed to be negotiated that would be appreciated .

NMW up by 20p in October

National Express coaches are the first in the transport sector, to pay the minimum wage for living in London at £ 9. 15 per hour.

Our union is still negotiating pay from Feb 2014. Has been turned down twice by members. I really can’t seen what some people expect with a rise but hey ho. If it gets sorted then back pay will be a bonus.

So when your unionised at a site they shouldn’t just come to you and tell you what your getting there should be some negotiation at least yes?

Getting nothing but a smack in the eye because of the Ruskis!

20p on minimum wage is just about barely adequat for this year. We really needed that backdated to the 2008 credit crunch though, seeing as wages have been pretty much stagnant since then otherwise.

I think I would like to see a more multi-tiered minimum wage rolled out - so that working nights, weekends, bank holidays, and beyond 10 hours per shift have to be paid at some kind of premium to the base NMW rate.

In the Retail sector for example, it’s common for new entrants being paid the NMW to be told “You’ve gotta work saturday evenings and sundays as part of your new contract now”. :imp:
That was enough to drive my wife out of retail outright. :imp: If working the undesirable hours is to be made compulsary - then so should having to pay something like NMWx2 for that - yes? :bulb:

after our wages fell behind everybody else, and drivers left in droves…we were awarded a 10% pay rise a few weeks ago :open_mouth:
no one complained!

That’s sweet that is, do you work for a big firm ?

George Osborne will make you all rich tomorrow. He Will cut income tax, and ■■■■■ everything that affects the working man…Until after the 7th of May when the same or a new Government gets in and puts us all through the mincer :exclamation: :imp:

We had a £1,000 from January and April’s is being negotiated but not expecting a big one.

£1000 is not to be sniffed at bald bloke . Why the January rise? What annual rises do you normally get ?

The January pay rise was more a good will thing I think as some other depots have lost drivers and as for what we normally get it varies year on year .

Nice touch that is. Yes Stafford was one of the ones that I was sniffing around . Are you gents unionised ?

yes,fairly big…DHL!

4.3% or the rate of inflation, whichever is higher for the next 4 years guaranteed + pay rises totalling 30% over the next 5 years.

yes, I’m very happy I’m not involved in transport anymore

Still waiting on word what ours will be, way this driver shortage going on I’m expecting an extra £5 an hour tbh.

I’ve been reading up on supply and demand…
