Paying The Shunter!

The-Snowman:
It was a blind side reverse with a hedge and wall at one side and a row of parked trucks in front and another unit on the bay beside him.

Are you agency?

That wasn’t a blindside reverse. That was ■■■■ poor positioning.

He had a whole yard to play with ffs. :unamused:

Whilst I agree with your point, Spielberg should have walked up to the cab and offered this advice to the driver. Could well have been his first day driving, we all had one of those once.

That’s not a blind side reverse, he made it so. He has a huge yard there to spin it round. Even so, after he’d lined up with the bay he still managed to mess it up multiple times.

Some people just don’t have the spatial awareness to drive large vehicles. Worryingly, some of them manage to get licenses :astonished:

■■■■ poor positioning yes,but still a blindside from what I can see. Unless his reversing was SO bad that he started off on an offside reverse and ended up with the cab facing completely the other way. And if thats the case then maybe driving aint for him

His cab is at a 90 degree angle the other way. Looks like it started as a blind side to me.
But whether it was a blindside or not,who cares. It didnt need the moron with the camera filming it and deciding it was a good laugh to post it online

The camera man is an idiot for sure. But the driver made that into something far harder than it needed to be. As reverses go that’s as easy as it’s going to get.

You’re right, driving isn’t for him/her.

People look at me funny when i have to shunt my rigid in and out.

Some people do need help, I have seen people try to do a simple one and make it look very hard, how do they even dress them self’s in the morning beats me, as getting 25 a week that must be a slow week for the shunter, and that video is a joke or a set up, there is no one that thick, if its not a joke then the guy needs to get a new job, one thing that stuck out with the video is when he opens his door to look at the bay as he is going back, that’s the sign of inexperience with the job and he would have paid many a shunter in his time

[ the [zb] should have gave him a hand, not a very nice thing to do too him

Given a hand how. I guarantee the person who filmed this probably wouldn’t even be able to get the truck in gear never mind put it on a bay.

thats just assuming terry, and you should never assume because…, i take your point tho probably a rigid van driver who thinks hes rubber duck coz he can bang his milk float on a bay in 1 hit
