Pay slips

One of my biggest gripes at stobarts was they stopped actual pay slips and you had to view it online at my drive , to the day I left I / others couldn’t get it to work so whether you were paid correct was a guessing game
So do firms still use paper pay slips or is it all online . Ta

I’ve only seeen 1 paper slip in the last 3-3.5 years. Ironically, that was it - just the paper slip but no money in the bank :imp: Everything else is online only, agency and company. They mostly use some online pay portal which serves various payment companies (umbrella lol) but some of them send the pay slip as email as well. Depends on the agency/company I suppose

Didnt you retire to Spain?

Haven’t had a paper payslip since 2014 all done automatically via email these days. It’s not the dark ages anymore Grandad.

Where I am.about 6 months ago they changed to online.
Via sage. Which I’m ok with just click on can see all my pay slips etc.
Only problem I have is if ever sage gets hacked into then they could get all my personal details…
On a side issue I always check my pay slip every week.
Yet I know some people.who used just bin there’s and haven’t registered to.view online. For all they know they could be paid short and there never know

Still get a paper slip every week.

From the beginning of the year we’ve had online pay slips only but you can view your virtual slip online anyway so easy to check overtime or any stoppages. We also book our leave online now too, again all very simple.

Ours aren’t online but are emailed to us as a password protected PDF file with a different password for each individual employee. I won’t tell you how they’re generated but its not one you’ll forget.

Exactly the same as our lot do

NI number no doubt just the same as ours.

I still get paper ones. They even post them to my house as I avoid going in the office if I can at all help it!

Password protected .pdf for me too…

Even if he did/had, they still have internet there unfortunately.

If you get your electronic paysllip emailed to you 24-48 hours before you’re due to get paid - then if there are any mistakes, they can be corrected in time for the following week’s pay - rather than the old days, when you didn’t know you’d been paid short until Payday itself or later, by which point it would take TWO weeks to get back the missing cash.

If applying for a tax rebate - HMRC ask you for these electronic payslips/P60/P45 as well - so applying for a rebate gets done all the quicker, rather than have to scan a hard copy into your internet access device, and other poncing about required otherwise…

Get mine by email

Same for me, monthly because the 4 of us drivers are classed as staff [emoji39]
The plebs in the factory are paid weekly [emoji23]

I get mine emailed Thursday for pay on Friday. Password protected as others have said too.

I went to a haulage firm in Hertford today and I’m near certain they were putting money in pay envelopes the old fashioned way.

I work for a proper firm and get proper payslips - just how it should be.

Actual cash/money in envelopes?
Unusual at the least.
.
I know somewhere who paid nights out, cash in advance, until recently, but salary direct into bank.
Summat to do with big, tough, 'airy arsed truckers… keeping secrets from their bigger, tougher…wives.

I thought so too. Either that or there’s about 50 lots of large expenses being paid…
