PAY CUT

The only ‘bellend’ in this thread is the OP…

I don’t know if I’m reading this wrong. But the OP says he has never claimed for anything in his life, suggesting that his rent is not been subsidised in the first place. It appears now that he is earning a decent wage, they have bumped up his rent. I’d be a bit peed off at that too. Where’s the incentive to better yourself if that’s what’s going to happen.

The real Conservative definition of ‘bettering yourself’ means not relying on the state to subsidise your living costs especially if you’re earning £600 pw. :unamused:

However ‘if’ the OP was to say that even £600 per week isn’t enough to live on comfortably. Then just maybe his ( possibly justified ) argument should be that those 1970’s strikers weren’t the greedy militants they were painted as being and we’ve got an incomes crisis not a housing or benefits one. :bulb:

His rent was subsidised. Like all council houses and housing associations the rent was set at a percentage of the local market rate so he’ll have been paying 70-80% tops of what a similar property would be to rent in the private sector. He may not have had housing benefit but he’s been living in a subsidised house for the last 20 years. Now thanks to a well overdue change in the rules he’s going to have to pay the true market value for the first time in his life.

And if its not the OP living in the house, who is paying his way, it will most likely be some alkie or junkie living in it scott free at the taxpayers expense.

In which case if you think you’re being ripped off why not put down a deposit on a house and get a mortgage like any other ‘militant’ working class of the 1970’s. :unamused:

The fact is in work benefits are just a subsidy for cheap labour employment and gutless workers who won’t fight for decent wages.Assuming that is £600 pw doesn’t cut it.

He says he has never claimed anything - yet his rent has (apparently) been subsidised up until now to the tune of £3600 per year for the past 20 years. Perhaps he would like to offer to repay the £50k or so he has so far received in subsidies?

Maybe the OP needs to wake up and smell the coffee - and realise just how much housing actually costs without his “unclaimed” subsidies…

maybe the dossers and scroungers might want too get in the queue before me and re pay taxes etc ive being subsidising them while trying too earn a decent living or shall i go part time and claim loads of top ups for my rent you sir are another bell end who judge without the facts pray you are never out of work as my taxes will have too wipe youre ■■■

Some of us in the Thatcher era couldn’t even afford the deposit or the mortgage for a house to lose.Although some say that Thatcher put right all the country’s economic problems.Meanwhile just think what might have been if the Unions and Labour had the brains to ditch all the Socialist bs and just fight for decent wages and maintain jobs so that you could have kept your house.Instead of the idea of unsustainable in work benefits. :unamused:

Divide and rule tory tactics still working well i see, those in charge would love to read this thread.

There’s a national debt of £1.5 trillion and its still growing, the defecit shows no signs of slowing either, we’re all going to be kicked in the ■■■■■■■■ during the next 5 years in order to claw some money in to bribe the Robert Mugabes of the world, just happens to be Topmixer’s turn this time but don’t worry we’ll all be getting our turns in due course.

I suspect retirement goalposts will be shifting in due course again, they’ll get every one of us before they’re finished.

Thats not the Tories parties way of thinking, its about screwing people over to make the rich richer.

Heaven forbid people are allowed affordable housing, rather than a market which is artificially overinflated. If it was really for people bettering themselves it would pump money into the economy building more council or HA houses, create jobs like a government should really job.

Instead its wanting to turn us all into wage slaves with unaffordable housing, whilst the government subsidises banks, big business in the form of government contracts, tax breaks and everything else.

The 1970’s is like a magic word the Tories have made, as soon as they are mentioned most people think of unions out of control, strikes, if you mention socialism its you want to go back to the bad old days of the 70’s. Yeah some unions were out of control, and huge mistakes made, but we have gone way the other way now with no rights and the country basically just a rat race. We will be working till we die.

I have a insurance policy that pays all my bills plus extra should I be made unemployed through redundancy, illness or accident.
Sensible people plan for these things.

topmixer11:
looks like i will have too ask for one as from 2017 im going too be persecuted for trying too get on in life by finding decent work and paying too get it by obtaining licences etc ive been in my housing association home 20 years never claimed a bean in all that time ,paid my rent on time now because i earn 31 ,000 a year im going too be hit with a 70 quid a week increase in rent , by the looks of things ,i still have too pay bills etc pay for my car too get too work so im now going too look for a job under that figure above HOW IS THAT PRODUCTIVE MR CAMERON might as well sign on rather than try hard in life :exclamation: :exclamation: :exclamation:

Me like many others on here, are wondering WHY you are going to be persecuted for earning £31k and most of all WHY are you going to be hit with a £70 pw rent rise (£3640 per year)if as you say have never claimed “bean” in 20 years.
Maybe you can enlighten us
