It surely can’t be 20 years ago since I last saw these motors around, where does time go, it’s scary!

Yes its amazing how quickly time goes ! I can always remember as a teenager all my aunties and uncles saying to me,make the most of it
as it soon goes. Not too bad till 40,then it seems to go twice as quick ! :unamused:

Hi Dean, This article reminded me of an ex Catnic Scania, CHB 284V, owned by my long time friend and fellow haulier,
John Wilkinson, of James Wilkinson & Son of Wigan. I drove it a couple of times, taking trailers to and from Boalloy Ltd
at Congleton, when many trailers were being converted from flatbed to " Tautliner " in the late 1970s and early 1980s.
These pictures have appeared on the Wigan thread, Click or slide for full image.

Cheers, Ray Smyth.

Morning Dean,
Yes I can remember Daniels fleet parked up and also the cafe later on, it didn’t last too long as the price that the land was fetching for extending the Merryhill centre was too strong to be ignored, Cheer’s Pete
