DeanB Allen Rowlands were based on Wharfedale Road Tyseley Birmingham- I recognise that Scammell 8 legger as it was the replacement for a Renault G290 eight wheeler that was short lived, being involved in a head on accident when it was only a few weeks old

As Edtruck states above Allen Rowlands based in Tyseley and also bought out Parkfield Iron and Steel in Wolverhampton, both companies now part of EMR. Rowlands did go back to buying Renaults and some of them got resprayed in to EMR blue.

Pugh’s are from Lydbury North just west or Craven Arms, not sure if they are still operating but that Scania would be on its way to Kronospan at Chirk

Hay Dean these tipper articles are quality on this odds and sods page that you have put up on this thread today i have just spotted a lavlers Scammell Routeman tipper which were based in Dartford but sadley no longer with us as they was brought out by Day Aggregates. Many thanks for sharing these great gems Daz :smiley: :wink:

The Foden has just loaded rock salt and is passing the Red Lion in Winsford, owned by Lion Transport from Wellington Shropshire, I cheated and asked on another group but credited the pic to Mark! Cheer’s Pete
