Hi Dean, The BDH trailer with the BRS Truck Rental Scania is from British Drug Houses,
who I think were from Bradford, and I think they had their own fleet of lorries. Ray.

Hi Dean,
I think you’ll find? That truck is an Oshkosh. They have been building trucks, mainly for the military for over 100 years in Oshkosh Wisconsin.

I wonder if Chance Glass are still trading? They made glass for lighthouses etc, they used to run BMC FFK Prime Movers which occasionally expired near our garage!

Pete.

Dean the Atki and the Fiat both belonged to A.T.Osbourne (Tom Osborne ) from Shelly Lane, Ower Nr Southampton and they were agricultural engineers and sold new machinery as well. Also they specialised in County four wheel drive tractors which they hired out but that business has finished, but now one of the sons has a franchise just for County tractors dealing in whole machines and selling parts for the same and refurbishment, believe he bought the rights to the county name, Buzzer

Hello Dean ,and always good to see A E Goughs ,thank you Trevor

“Before my time” my arse!! Not a Bedford, it is a Morris WEK 100 5 tonner. Like all BMC trucks from that period the 100, 40/60/80 etc was the payload in cwts (Hundredweights) but I reckon even those measures were “before your time” as well?
