Gloystarne were a Sheffield based company,did a lot of work for British Tissues and Bassetts.
I heard from one of their drivers that a night’s work was Sheffield - Yate - Slough - Sheffield plus a quick Hull.
Of course it could well have been café talk.

I wonder if the AEC Mercury tanker is one of M and S Tankers Ltd. from Swansea,it does have a Cardiff reg plate and similar livery? Not my photo,it’s one of Andrew Coopers.

Complete with micro-sleeper! Wood and Butler had one or two like it - they make a Jennings pod look postively palatial!

Not to be confused with Reliance Tankers from just down the road in Sale Reliance Motors Ltd were from Bolton specialising in general haulage.
Another Atkinson Borderer 4x2 tractor unit in their fleet was Reg No JWH 267P which was registered new in September 1975.
