Hi Harvey, no your brain hasn’t given up, there were 6x4 and 6x6 versions of Militants, the 6x4 was usually designated General Cargo 10 tonner in military parlance, and the 6x6 was usually a recovery vehicle, or other specialist design.

Wills were a part of the Imperial Tobacco Group
I often took Tobacco products from their massive Nottingham factory to their distribution centre in Avonmouth
Then often reloaded cigars from their factory in Ashton Gate Bristol or loaded raw leaf Tobacco for manufacturing back in Nottingham and often cardboard, and other packaging from Temple Mead
Also delivering and reloading from other factories/Depots such as Alexandra Parade(Glasgow) East Kilbride,Spennymoor,Newcastle,Ipswich and Liverpool
All but one of their factories were all closed by 2014 the Nottingham factory closed in April 2016 with the loss of over 600jobs
Ending cigarette and tobacco manufacturing in the UK
The Nottingham site has been sold for redevelopment but the RDC is still operating with all cigarettes being manufactured in Poland and sent over by road

Good morning Dean,
Oldacre services was (could still be) an amimal feed business in Bishops Cleeve, noth of Cheltenham.
The owner started the Merc dealer in Swindon expanding to two other outlets.
Mike Mudie (an old friend) was the sales director and Richard Bond the general manager.
When he sold it off, Mike and Richard bought the Worcester branch and it became, Mudie Bond Worcester.
The old grey cells still working, however useless the information. Harvey[/quote

Mark, they also bought out Thomas Pies of Merthyr Tydfil. The deal went sour and Stan set sons Stan JR and Peter up as Peters savory products.
Stan and Peter sold out to Grand Met, who nearly bankrupt the company and it was then bought back by a previous director of Peters.
