I think this was taken during the construction of the Liverpool / Manchester A580 east Lancs road .

Seems as though this shot may have a direct link with the previous one as the caption reads “ Lodge lane viaduct J23 fire in bitumen boiler “

Who could ever have anticipated that happening ? J23 of course being the junction of the M6 and the east Lancs road … but you don’t need me to tell you that .

15 speed Fuller, no, Twin Splitter, no, 18 speed, no, 9 speed, no. Better make it an auto, might get it out of the yard
