Because we all know your relationship with the truth and manipulation to make readers erroneously assume wrong conclusions.
I could post a picture of Buckingham Palace, doesn’t mean I live there.
Look at the Jaguar saga. You lead everyone to believe you were driving it, then when you are asked for proof of its existence, you post an ancient magazine article of A Jaguar. Further enquiries from multiple posters reveal it’s been rotting away for years, because the “engineer” lacks the basic abilities of a backyard handyman.
Your credibility was accepted until YOU eroded it.

Did they have a depot in Leatherhead? Asking for a friend

That’s very similar to the Granada that went for £33000 at Mathewsons auction recently

Where are they coming from and why dont they try and sell them even for spares if they are too far gone to save?

Scrap metal is quick, easy cash.

Yep no sentimentality or sense of posterity in a scrap yard sadly.
It’s like that govt scrappage scheme on cars a few years ago, a lot of classics were lost, that could not be saved by (a ridiculous) law.

Maybe we weren’t as affluent up here as you in the Sarf ! But I’ll tell you what we were CF we were economical and financially careful. It made sense for us to run diesel cars and the Fleet Engineers Granada was both economical and well liked plus the fleet spilt more derv on the floor than the Diesel engined cars used . Plus I didn’t have any complaints from either my Operations Director or the Fleet engineer who had the use of a company car and unlimited fuel !

Spare us the lies the ‘proof’ went a lot further than just the ‘ancient magazine article’.So you think I went to all the bother of putting a 6 litre motor, among numerous other modifications, into an XJ12 not to drive it.Your laughable cries of liar and impossible demands of proof of everything are just a personal vendetta. No one else here gets called a liar regarding their posts.I’ve showed you the proof the thing is sitting in my garage SORNed as solid now as the day I bought it.With the exception of corroded brake pipes and just not happy about using the available garbage quality, amateur hand fit, copper based replacements, on a 165 mph motor.

Trunk motor. I”ll get me coat :face_with_diagonal_mouth:

Job done, almost, at that point.

Me the ‘fleet engineer’ of my fleet dressing the new factory 6.0 litre crate engine which went into the XJ12.Pulleys, water pump, alternator, oil filter housing, induction kit.

The BMW E3 3.0Si at home in the Alps.

This is the first of two Granada MK2 estates Bewick.Manual 2.8i GLS eventually replaced by an even rarer A reg 5 speed manual 2.8i Ghia X pack but can’t find any photos of the second one. Both went for banger racing when I was done with them.

I’d swapped over the better stronger 4 speed from the GLS before it went.

Assuming fixed axles how does that trailer make turns without scrubbing it’s wheels and tyres off it looks nuts but obviously works ?.

This is what you need, CF!
