This is still going strong i saw it a few weeks back. It’s immaculate , based in Leeds i think .I hope he doesn’t have to go to Bradford too often £50 a day clean air zone. No clean air here in Bradford
Yes indeed. The picture was taken by Jerry Cooke in Saudi. S Jones co-ran Trans Arabia, a company that did ‘internals’ in Saudi. The unit on the left is Trans Arabia fleet No. 142, which before 1982 had been KFH 248P in the Eric Vick fleet on Middle-East work. It had a Cummins NTC 335 and 9-sp Fuller. The unit on the right, No. 126 had been a Dutch ERF NGC in the service of Schaap of Rotterdam, registered 84-56-JB. It had an NTC 290 and 13-sp Fuller.
Seeing all those Fodens, does anyone remember Dee Valley Transport, running out of Llangollen. I used to meet one every morning on the A5 between Oswestry and Shrewsbury, never talked to the driver but always dipped his lights whenever we met or waved when it was lighter mornings. Later used to meet him in one of their Volvo F88’s.
My aim in replying to it was pointing out recent ongoing silly accusations, that I personally caused the exit of a self appointed historian in all matters AEC, for the crime of agreeing with it.Among other personal insults and attacks.
I really believe that you and Spardo are one and the same person or maybe both natives of Leatherhead and blood brothers ! Just an observation from reading the posts !

I agree with Suedehead2, if I try scrolling down to read articles, the screen seems to do it’s own thing, bouncing up and down between years !

Every thread has the same problem !! Loads of comments on the feedback forum.
Nobody listening !!!
Doesn’t look like Detroit, they had a different bumper and I think the cab was mounted a little higher.
Possibly a Leyland or a 466. Whatever, it would have been busting a gut. I reckon the twin steer was also a local conversion.
I didn’t think the TKs were 6 wheelers never mind 8. I think there were chinese 6 TKs. The heavier ones were KMs
