I remember a Seabourne Express from Barking int 70s.Is it the same company that’s going to operate out of Ramsgate?
An Atkinson artic parked outside of Henry Diaper warehouse on The Strand (Dock Road) in Liverpool.
At the end of the Diaper building where the loaded rigid lorry is parked is the entrance & exit of the
Branch section of the Mersey Tunnel, and St Nicholas Church at the rear. Being so near the docks,
this church was known locally as “The Sailors Church”. I cant make out who the Atkinson belongs to,
It could be one of Bowkers, whose lorries were frequently seen at Liverpool Docks.

Mr Carlisle himself or should I say Robson, cheers Buzzer
I’ve got a thread going in the photo gallery section. But I thought I’d share a few with you on here…
I saw this 112 sitting at the side of the road a few days ago, I thought it had gone on fire but it’s actually the mobile hot mix truck…they reverse it into the gravel add the bitumen and it discharges over the top of the cab.
Driving through the enchanted Forrest…
112 still hauling poppies…

I worked for George Bloomer,Chesterfield for a few months in 1994. I never took any photos but my old pal Gordon Howarth took some of his ERF,G230 DCX.I had an ERF E14 with twin-splitter reg D801 PHD,it was 8 years old when I got it and drove like new,one of the best wagons I’ve ever had.Coupled to a 3 Compartment Dutch built tank of 35000 litres cap, similar to the one in the photos.Staveley Chemicals was a huge place,I’ve done many a load in and out of there int 60s and 70s and when I worked for George.Nowt there now.
I have some more George Bloomer photos and will post when time allows.
Thanks to Buzzer, DEANB, DISPATCHER, Aussietruckphotos and Chris Webb for the photos

Welsh wagons
I spotted this coming up through Spain last week. At first I thought it was a B-double, this company does have some with 13 metre trailers I think, and as such, oversize. This requires them to have flashing lights on the top rear corners. Experimental I suppose. For comparison, the B-doubles commonly seen in France are normally 20ft+20ft, although I have seen a couple with longer 2nd trailers, but not as long as this.
So that is what fooled me, because this one had those lights, but on passing it turned out not to be, but a traditonal wagon and drag with a 5 axle 13 metre drag. Surely the most manouevrable such large vehicle both in forward and reverse motion.
