Clock back Oily ooooh!!■■ This gal I reckon good tool, 45hr week n 25% more money than on the road. Bit repetitive,
2 weeks once 15 loads an hour yes an hour. Too much glass on the Iveco we all recall the pain of the burning right arm or back of the neck. Never run into the Astra, Italian? What engine /box ?

Someone referred to those displays of palm fronds on the TIR-plate thread. They were popular in Syria when I was doing it. Nice pic of a rugged Transcon on M/E work there Oily! Robert

For a country that’s renowned for it’s style a tad underwhelming. There’s parts of the cab that look familiar

It has improved coomsey, shares a lot with the Iveco Trakker. Astra became part of Iveco in 1986.

Nice?

Well as my medication is wearing off, my brain has come up with these three thoughts :-

Modern snowplough?

Three blade propeller housing for propulsion?

Iveco have ‘corrupted’ the Mercedes logo by inverting it!

I wonder if his work mate in the Atkinson felt a little hard done by at the time…

Ben Wyatt had several of these on the M40 Beaconsfield By-pass. One of the drivers was a total loonie who used a joke-shop monster’s arm and gnarly hand to stick out of the window when turning left. Cue chaos behind. Jim.
