Wallace Arnold Motorcoach Holiday Tours,of Leeds, operated four re-bodied-Leyland Leopard motorcoaches with narrow Plaxton Paramount 3200
bodies, for use in the West Country touring Dartmoor which has some narrow roads - hence the narrow motorcoach bodies

When you mentioned CSU 937,and saw your photograph,I thought it might be one of those above Wallace Arnold motorcoaches

service with Wallace Arnold Motorcoach Holiday Tours as Plaxton Paramount 3200 motorcoaches

Hi Dean, that marque Volvo was built like a tank, solid and unwieldy, a nickname that was given to it at the time.

think you’ll find more on that one if you trawl thorough the old Northamptonshire companies thread, had a tag axle added later, but I first saw it in the yard I shared about 30 odd years ago , spent months with its cab in the air.

Hi Robert, a bit of info here with the comments flickr.com/photos/beerdave1745/25825134503/
Oily

here’s a couple of photos from the Northamptonshire thread, when it was in my yard I thought it was a complete dog to be honest, the amount of time it spent bowing to the public.

And it’s grown another axle Tony!

David

yes it was definitely a 2 axle job around 1982 , I guess it got a tag axle for 38 tonnes later in its somewhat chequered life, hope its got a good home now, deserves it
