It may be worth noting (probably not, perhaps Iâm being pedantic!) that the soundtrack recording of the song was altered from Dave Dudleyâs original to fit in with the script writerâs storyline. And possibly the availability of the trucks featured in the film!Yes! Youâre an old Pedant! It sounds so much worse written down, doesnât it!
To be fair I donât think the film was very good. I remember being asked if Iâd seenââWhite Lion Feverâ" er, no but Iâve been awayâŚ
I understand âWhite Line Feverâ was also big amongst Truckers (sorry, lorry drivers) about then!
John
White Line Fever, starring Jan Micheal Vincent as Carrol Jo Hummer and a Ford W type named âBlue Muleâ
as per the attachments. Though this was seen south bound on the MI south of Loughborough.
The colour scheme is as near dammit to the film.

Great photo
Hi Buzzer These images show the A6 Shap Fell road from the west side off "The Millers Road. The slight bend in the road behind the AEC is just about the point where northbound drivers would click their motors back into gear after descending the brow in Aberdeen Booster or Silent 7th gear.

Confession time, when I looked at this photo on FB (and I think itâs been on here previously as a painting) I confidently stated the the ergo was travelling southbound soon to pass the Leyland clock and over the top to the Jungle. Iain Dargue corrected me. Iâm exactly 180 degrees out, the lay by gives it away. He is of course travelling Northbound. Hand me my sackcloth and ashes, I may be gone some time!
John
The photo of the AEC climbing northbound on the A6 climb to Shap Summit is,
in my opinion, one of the best ever photos on Trucknet. At the top of the bank
behind the lorry in the rear,is just about where âAberdeen Boosterâ would be
selected, and if you had 20 tons on your back, the old Atkinson would romp up
to about 60 mph. Thanks to Buzzer for the photo, and Leyland 600 & John West
& Ramone for their comments.
Kind Regards, Ray Smyth.
Thanks to Leyland600 for the pics
Another great picture thanks to Ronnie Cameron (RIP).

EditâŚIâd better add, not Shap but somewhere north of the border.
