Slightly left to give the Cawley Bros. man the road for a wide sweep then on to Dolgellau, done Wales end to end a few times, different routes, most times rainy, tho’ many years ago '70/'80s when kids were young holidays were regular at Gilfach yr Halen, between Aberaeron and Newquay, always seemed good weather then .

Started 1934 as Universal Power Drives making Forest tractors, mid '60s produced a car Unipower GT based on BMC Mini mechanics, also got involved with Scammell(S24) and MOD stuff, taken over by Alvis PLC 1994 the result in this picture. Early tractors were Gardner powered, this one rated at 250 ton and ■■■■■■■ powered

I was delivering to a regular drop in Pershore, Worc’ a few weeks ago, as I pulled onto the Trading Estate I saw this old Scammell Highwayman about to be loaded onto the Low-Loader, I knew I had time to make my delivery then have a look on the way out. The chaps loading it said no problem taking photo’s, it is a Ex-Pickfords wagon, & they were taking it away to be restored, so hopefully we can all see her on the Show-circuit in the future. Regards Chris
Two of my lorries in the late 80s,when 90% of my work was with

Hi Dave, They are at the depot I rented from 1985 until 1990,
unit 16 at Leeds Street, Wigan. The front of the Ford is near
unit 16,and the Bedford is backed up to unit 15. Both units
are now occupied by Plumb Center. Miry Lane is behind the camera.
