Hi Stanfield, The gas propelled truck is a bit quaint , I have a similar photo(earlier model) somewhere for digging out, the upper deck must be the the gas tank/bag ■■.

History. Büssing NAG used inmates of several ■■■■ concentration camps in Brunswiek from 1944 to March 1945 for slave labor. These camps were subcamps to the Neuengamme concentration camp. Not many people know that.
I had the privilege to transport one of “The white buses” from the war for three years to different arrangement for the Swedish Red Cross. It was really to live the history when drove the bus to those arrangements, and got the opportunity to speak to some of the survivors from the German concentration camps…
Here´s a photo of the bus when I had unloaded it from the trailer, and was in my way to the Red Cross in 2007.
Trailer tractor from 2007 and bus from 1939, can it be more “then and now” at the same time?

Yes it is John - its Santanders fleet office now, they use the depot for off lease returns, full of trucks, vans and coaches, for inspections and de-liveries etc

Her’es a nice little Scammell. This has a South Shields reg but I think the motor was used internally at Scammell before the closure of Watford.
