A few more from “The Tyne Tees”
Hi Kev, its a shame we did not recognise each other, we could have had a bit of a natter when you finished your marshalling job, you would certainly cover some miles showing the various drivers to their respective class allocation areas. Does the comittee give you a shoe leather allowance for being a marshal?
Cheers, Leyland 600.
Hi Oily, are you sure you were on the A595 when you met the Alan Harrison, Scania cattle wagon and ■■■■■■■ Steel wagon ? I reckon you were approaching the eastern end of the Wigton By Pass at Dockray on the A596. The number changes when you get to Thursby roundabout, the A595 goes west via Cockermouth. Good images all the same. By the way what makes you thing the Mercedes with a Tiger Cub badge on the bumper is mine ■■? You issed the AEC triangle on the canopy front.
Cheers Leyland 600.

Hi Leyland600 "By the way what makes you thing the Mercedes with a Tiger Cub badge on the bumper is mine ■■? " I recollect somewhere way back on your flickr pages seeing your attendance at another meet, as for the roads, well your turf, you know better than I
. I have some more of Harrison’s for posting when sorted.
Cheers

This motor caught my eye, I can think of a few tipper men who would still want “greedy boards” fitted!!!
Hi Kev that looks a bit like it could be the tail wagging the dog when tipping, even hooking/unhooking.
Cheers
Oily
I found this rare beauty at the Immingham Truckstop today, unfortunately I had left my “proper” camera at home
and had to use the phone camera, sorry!!!
An odd Scania LB indeed! It has an Aerodyne type roof which accommodates a Kysor type air-con unit, and a Longline type cab extension. Even odder is the trailer which, even allowing for the '70s flat-top (with Aerodyne) cab, seems very tall - 4m perhaps. Wheelbase looks quite long too. All the proportions look strange / wrong to me. Robert
Kevmac/Robert,
The above looks a better job than this one!!(pic off net)

Yes, you’re right there! Didn’t that one have a ‘sister ship’ in the shape of a high-roof F88? Robert

Looks like the trailer is probably only 34’or so (10m ish) long, not a particularly big spread axle, but it’s on 255 or 275 tyres - may be 4.2 ish high. I’ve seen short Scandinavian trailers before - Scansped used to use them on certain dedicated jobs, as they saved a lot of money on Baltic / North Sea ferry costs.

Sorry, I meant the tractor wheelbase not the trailer! Robert
