Now then, trunker08 has very kindly given me access to his photos of wagons he and others drove, most of which are already posted on the Southampton thread, I (limited capability) will give them a tweak here and there with hopefully enhancement.
This the man himself loaded at Wigan for Branthwaite.

Looks like a young Mr Anderton?

Leyland600:
1Much has been written here on TNUK about the mythical Guy Big J fitted with 8 cylinder Gardner, today I managed to track it down and dispel any further speculation. Seen here todays rally at BCVM, Leyland.
Cheers Leyland 600
'Fraid not L600 you may believe that you saw and photographed “The real McCoy”( and a nice looking job as well) but that Big J didn’t leave Fallings Park with an 8LXB under the bonnet ! And I thowt nee body could pull’t wool ower a Marra’s eyes eh!
Cheers Bewick.
Bewick, I didn’t say it left Fallings Park as shown, in fact I know through an ex Guy employee and expert on such matters that there never was one built with a 8 cylinder fitted as original equipment, I am just saying that such an animal exists today and has been seen here in my photos taken yesterday. Why anyone would want to fit such an engine into a Big J is beyond me unless it was the owners ambition to creat something quirky on the preservation scene. I did’t look too closely but perhaps it just a 4LK set well back. ■■?
Cheers, Leyland 600.
Thanks to adr and Leyland600 for the pics
that a very tidy Big J, here’s another fine 1972 example, down range a bit.

Don’t start me off on those ■■■■ things!
I see them on the motorway regularly during harvest- no LGV licence, cheap tax, red diesel carrying around 20 tons of wheat and doing a lorry driver out of a job.
The Harry Lawson Volvo looks like it’s at Carolina port Dundee ?
Hi Trev, it was at Tweedmouth, canny bloke i got talking to him, Gordon
adr:
Sainsbury’s, Charlton, London SE7. Chris
adr I used to run Sainsbury’s quite often in the early 1990s and remember there was five loading bays round the far side. If you drove in you had to reverse on dock levellers from the blind side or reverse up the incline . One day there was a delay because a trailer had demolished an Eddy Stobart Volvo tractor-unit. Fire at the distribution depot May this year.
Thanks to servo88, rastone and kevmorrow for the pics
This pic of bridge sent to me by lurpak took me back to 1962, heading for Dorchester (Dorset) from Cowley and creeping under in the middle of the arch when coming the other way is a Spiers of Melksham AEC 8 legger desperately trying to stop, nearside front rubbing the kerb etc, well there was a gentle coming together, minor offside damage both wagons, not enough to stop us carrying on after disentangle, but a bit of explaining required back at the yard, anybody got a clue where it might be

Might it have been Salisbury you went through Oily, there was a low arch bridge on a bend there ?
