Well that’s a handy wee yoke fur roon the toon deliveries, single axle and I think the coupling might be an ARMSTRONG LIFT OFF job, in cab air-con is standard, leather upholstery, wiper, mirror, maybe aboot 1hp but the trailer boy can gie ye a shove when needed. Eddie.

That has the look of a Bewick wagon (in contract colours Dennis) ?
Just going by the roping and tidy sheeting. Was Mappo the driver by any chance? Jim

Just thought I would post this as this is the first time in 40 years we have been to Finland with one of our trucks, we did this trip between Christmas and the New year, its amazing how they deal with the weather thrown at them and yet we are so useless dealing with it over here, cheers Buzzer.
Thanks to Buzzer for the pic
Yes real winters in Finland with longer and heavier wagon combinations.

Looking at the red Scania unit with the B-Double trailers I notice there are no landing legs on the front trailer!!!. and what about the sidegaurds I would say they are under 2 feet in length awfy effective you could lose a car in that space what kind o rules and regulations does Finland have. Eddie.

Hi backsplice, Aye the very latest designer gear for me…“thermals”
I remember as a youth my dad wearing the lang drawers and with this photo from 1947 (pa on the right) you’ll see why, never saw him wearing gloves, his own personal transport was a bike, not a lot of good in them conditions. The Council hut was 2½ miles away. I remember him sitting by the fire of an evening heating the shovel and rubbing it wi’ candle wax, todays non-stick is Tefal His boots he rubbed goose fat into, they had straw inner soles, this was grand insulation. Definitely no wellies, boots and ex army puttees was the winter footwear. I ramble again
.

Well Oily when you think about it when we used to load tatties for the South they had to be strawed against the frost so it would do the same for feet hardy lads in them days no fancy stuff !!!.. don,t have that trouble over here not much anyway
here,s a couple from about 82
by the way this International had a 300 ■■■■■■■ …wait for it "Made in Scotland "
