Discussing getting stuck, this is Chichester Market Cross , centre of town, used to be a vehicle thoroughfare, now my first trip there, usual asking mates for best way to the local morris mg dealer, down the A34, A27 fine until first Chichester signpost(should have been the second) I finished up getting stuck trying to negotiate this obstacle (the dealer was just the other side)
The top deck overhang (artic) on lock wouldn’t clear the building, if I remember rightly with plod watching I actually finished up going right instead of left to get round, long time ago, but not forgotten. There was another tight corner in Henley on Thames one way system for artic transporter top deck overhang where a house was clobbered a few times, I guess the marks are still there.
Oily
Might have been this very wagon, on the Chichester escapade, my first on joining Progressive.
