Another little gem
I photographed at the Malta Aviation Museum recently , was this Karrier Bantam.
It was formerly operated by the R.A.F. in Malta as an Airfield Control Vehicle
. The tower section was fitted with internal radio controls
for ground-to-air-to-ground contact. Anti-glare glass panels were fitted to lessen sun reflection, and to the exterior , radio antennae , and a windsock were added to the red and white chequered markings.
The Karrier was presented to the Museum in 2012 , and is being restored to its original glory.
Also , thanks to “Adr” for the photo of the Born Again
Maltese Bedford.
Cheers , cattle wagon man.
Thanks to adr and cattle wagon man for the pics
This first pic kicked me off thinking of another one I’d seen.

Snapped this wagon on Friday, hadn’t noticed driver other side of trailer (tho’ he’d seen me), anyway after winding legs down etc. he came across for a chat, turned out he is the owner and I was invited to their yard in Dingwall anytime saying they overnight wagons from the south and I might catch a few, his son drives the Scania in the second photo.
Pic No4, well I’ve posted this before and during our chat I find he owns this wagon and yard(our village) and he tells me there is also an old ex army Mack there as well, so I might be now be able to get in and have a proper look

That last shot looks suspiciously like one of the big Atki/Gardner 150s that were supplied to Pickfords.

Mate of mine who used to drive one say’s you needed a torch to find the engine under
the massive bonnet. Plus they were absolutely gutless.
I thought I had a recent picture of this Ward Foden…
but it turns out it is a different one…
