Past Present and in Between in Pictures (Part 1)

AEC Mercury from the once large Kodak fleet.

IMG_NEW.jpg

Pic taken in London in 1936, interesting angle but the assortment of Transport with the Horse & Cart, followed by a AEC wagon-drag which is overtaking a real old-timer makes this a fascinating pic’

Is this an early “Jack-Knife”?

IMG_NEW.jpg

Bit congested here :open_mouth: ,& whose “Plod” waving at then? He wants to look behind him cos it’s all going on back there :unamused: . I think his mate is saying to him “Put your arm down you twonk & we’ll just walk away slowly”

Bootle, Liverpool 1965.

Found this pic’ with some Trams in for anyone on here that remembers them, all adds to the Nostalgia

Tooley Street, London 1937.

That’s my lot for tonight, I’m going down the Boozer

Not all the old commercials have ended on the scrapheap on sunny Malta.
Tucked in a corner of this museum building , were these 4 former World War 2 vehicles.
Two Willys Jeeps , an Austin Tilly , and a Bedford QL bowser. A poignant reminder of what the Maltese forces used during the War.

A visit to the Malta Aviation Museum , situated near to the Ta Qali Craftworks is a must for followers of Maltas aviation history from
the 1930`s to the present day.

Oxford Diecast Models have released a 1.76 th. model of the Austin.

Cheers , cattle wagon man.

The photo of the Austin pickup reminded me that it was in one of these that the ■■■■ family spent their first two summer holidays. It was the firm’s runabout and transported us firstly for a week near Bangor, North Wales and twelve months later for a week at a site at Pentewan, Cornwall. Both holidays were taken in a plywood caravan owned by the firm’s owner and were in payment for my old chap taking the caravan to it’s seasonal site on the back of an A-model petrol Bedford tipper.
The Austin was ex-WD and had still got it’s canvas tilt and drab green paintwork.

Hi Gardner 120,
Have a look here
pcsupport.about.com/od/findbyerr … rerror.htm
I’ve had the same problem from time to time, it could be something to do with the size of the image you are trying to post or multiple images. Hopefully others are more clued up and can help.
