Not quite beyond the grave yet I hope, you’re right, I cheated! As soon as I saw that picture, it looked familiar. A quick flick through one of my library of lorry books, there it was. Captioned: "Although Pagefields were used predominately in refuse collection, some were supplied for haulage purposes. this example was being operated by a Wood Green asphalt contractor when photographed outside the old Palace Gates LNER station in January 1951, originally being in service with J Lyons and Co., the caterers. So there you go!

Well…I certainly got that one wrong
Although I WAS RIGHT about Arthur Ingram being the photographer
…I just couldn’t quite
place where I had seen the above Pagefield Paladin normal control 6-7 Ton 4x2 Lorry,BGU 642,of 1934,and then I found the photograph - it’s the top one - on page 17 of TRUCK NOSTALGIA
Anyway, here is another photograph of a Pagefield motor lorry, along with it’s main details :-
PAGEFIELD PEGASUS,GARDNER 4L2 OIL-ENGINED,DROPSIDE-BODIED,4-TON,4x2 LORRY.Body built by Rimmer Brothers and Edge Ltd,Southport.Burton Transport Co.Commercial Motor roadtest,Friday,4th November,1932:-
