Past Present and in Between in Pictures (Part 1)

Hi oilreader, its sod’s law mate you spend and hour or so waiting for something of interest to photograph then after you put the camera away they appear, it happened today on the A1 just put the camera away, 1 of eden transport with 4m wide appeared south bound, then one of dawson freight with a wide load was heading north :angry: :angry:. if you have a chat with drivers of the heavy stuff and give them your number most will bell you when moving through your area, jeh, did another calendar for betty and carol at beal,they keep it behind the counter now, :unamused: sent that photo to ECM driver, think he is from your neck of the woods, few more NN photos, bumper

I have quite a collection of varied pictures from steam to present day and also from abroad, I would like others to feel free to post on here as well, if it has driven wheels and carries or pulls a load, let us see it. I have posted a lot of pics on other threads, well they may find their way on here either by design or fault.
AEC is a bit favourite, so will start with them.

Hi Oily, Got any of the older Atkis/Guy"s, from Harry Lawson Broughty Ferry, worked for him in the 70s at Lowton Depot, Its a long shot I know Cheers Chris.

Chris did you know any of the boys on tankers when you were there as I knew 3 or 4 quite well especially “Ticker” and Jocky Thompson

Hi Jonnie, It was rare to see any of the tanker Men in our neck o" the woods those days, but there was a young lad used to drop in at lowton every now and again, used to have Atki 8legger can"t Remember his name? I think he did Bitumen most of the time, Cheers Chris.

Hello Dai, are you well. I remember Entress in the 60s on the then main London to Sth Wales trunk road, the old A40. Blue with yellow lettering was the livery I remember.
