The Thames 15-cwt I drove in 1972 was an elderly 12-seater mini-bus. It had 4-speed column-change, was fairly sluggish and when the wiring loom caught fire I had to abandon ship with at least 16child passengers! End of. They gave me Commer 15-cwt mini-bus after that.
As I recall there were no fuses on the 400E so any short could -did-result in fireworks.
The picture taken at the railway level crossing in Pontardulais made me smile.
The van at the rear of the queueing traffic has some interesting signwriting,
I think it is a Standard 10, with a Belfast number plate, and possibly owned
by some Bible Punchers and God Botherers.
