Love the Bedford/Queen Mary combo, with the bomber finely balanced on the back, and tied down with 2 un-dollied bits of rope, apparently.
Donât worry, whatâs left of the wings can always act as stabilisers

The Pointer photos posted by Franky takes me back to 2010 when Pointerdog2 a fellow member who had worked for Pointers sent me some Pointer steamer and lorry photos with an email or two, Iâve tried contact a couple of times since to no avail, canât find them now but he would certainly have had info regarding the Guy, I note he hasnât been on here since 2012, .

Iâve seen a video somewhere on the net of Pointer Heavy Haulage and might have been the Guy with concrete beams, Iâve had a look and came upon this collection of stills

Looks like a Shackleton fuselage to me but not certain.

Right then found the footage I was looking for of Pointerâs Guy Invincible on abnormal load duty, great piece of film, hard hats nah flat caps and hats yes, hi viz jackets nah gaberdines yes, men with energy and concern for the job.

Definitely not a Shackleton, the nose cone is wrong, this looks like a bomber not a maritime recognizance aircraft.

Here here! Whatâs the betting that if this Leyland turned up at a truck show today someone would call it a shoddy restoration for having a one-piece windscreen!
And this five-axle Leyland looks an unusual beast for the day. Itâs wearing headlamp filters and carrying a tank so itâs in the mid-'40s at a guess! Whatâs the betting that isnât tri-drive; but if you look, the hubs appear to be identical.

The 5 axled Leyland is one of Leylandâs own fleet,itâs running on TB Lancashire trade plates. Some wagon that.

Is that a genuine pic ? I am trying to remember if i have seen a Leyland with 3 axles like that on the back.
Trouble is these days there are people messing about with pics / photo shop etc that sometimes it confuses the issue.
The first of the 3 rear axles has mudflaps but the others dont â â
