3 wipers? A newer addition? or an original fitment for LHD?
Some year`s E-Types had 3 but MGs?

Never seen the Feather and Kent Seddon photo before, North valley garage Colne, for many years now its macadams recovery garage.

Likely the Davey Brown six speed Constant Mesh box, often mated to the 6LX, my Fathers C reg 30:4:6LX Seddon Diesel was the same, top speed 41mph the only negative point he had to make about the Gardner although he did say it done that uphill too! By the way this is the MkI Invincible. Franky.

Ah, the leisurely 6sp not for the frantic. The only 150g I drove was aFoden MM with the 12sp and a flyer at 49mph.
Cheers coomsey

In the last pic, about seven or eight hundred (empty?) 45gal drums?
20kg each? So that impressive load is about 16 tons.
.
Mind you when loading or tipping it would be like the first barrels were 5kgs, and the last ones 50kgs!
.
Is that a water bag hanging off the front bumper?

Surprising how cool the water is out of one of those. Made of canvas, they weep a small amount of water that makes it cool.

My guess would be it’s a mod done when it was restored.

Congratulations Oily & Buzzer on 800 pages.

Heres a bit on the Scottish show from 1969.

Very true, the thing is to always have at least 2 or maybe 3 on the go, recycled into the cab in strict sequence, so you always have cool water to drink as you drive. I don’t necessarily recommend my mate’s system of a bottle of Bundaberg rum in the sequence though.

Buzzer

The ERF Cattle truck, all of their motors were very smart, the brown was like a wood effect iirc.

That’s an interesting shot of ■■■■ Stampers 6 wheeler as it looks like it is a Single drive heavy Leyland axle and not the normal double drive Albion axles. I would of thought that some of the farms that Stampers would have visited might have been a bit “challenging” with the single drive. I wonder if it had a lifting tag axle OR could it have been a converted tractor unit ? Cheers Bewick

An interesting picture of Gathurst Viaduct, which is about a mile and a bit to the
North of Junction 26, M6, near Wigan. Picture by Singapore Mick.

The second picture, which I think has been on before, is at the same location
showing 3 forms of transport, Canal barge, Railway train, and a lorry. NMP.

Ray Smyth.
