Anyone noticed how many of these old photos have a motor parked outside what is probably their house? So was it because they had more time back then? I certainly used to go home and pick my case etc up and drop it off when on nights out and sometimes just for a cuppa.0
Think I would want a much higher headboard on the trailer with that load on, Buzzer.
We all know that steel will ‘slide’ even with wood separators, but that AEC doesn’t seem to have any separators. Drop the brakes on a bit heavy and those pipes will come through the cab.

Glad I wasn’t the only one to notice that!

I had a new detached bungalow built in 2003 and it was built on a ring of 15 mtr deep piles for the foundations and if memory serves me correct the firm that did the piling was called Acorn and it cost £15 K at the time. Cheers Bewick.
Mean while in the bible it says the wise man built upon the rock

0Contacted our parts supplier for a service kit, the young Guy on the other end of the phone thought I was winding him up, who would use a name like Dodge he kept saying…
Looks like that could be an ex Abels removals van
Thanks all for the great pic’s, but I bet that PSF Leyland was a nightmare to drive.

Same as driving a car transporter with peak deck, a whole new approach was required for turning left and right, you soon became very aware of the road signs and traffic lights not to mention buildings.

This is an odd one of door to door sales of Sunlight soap in Holland, Buzzer
Good job Holland is flat because if that knacker encountered anything resembling a very slight incline it would throw down ! Cheers Dennis.
