Passed my hazard perception wooo!

hi all

nothing major but i passed my HP on friday just gone with a mark of 92/100 which i was quite pleased with
unforunately couldnt get multiple choice booked for the same day as i took a late appt at short notice
multiple choice is booked for 7th august. getting various pass marks on my practice disk between 90-99 so farely confident

so another step forward. i will get there slowly but surely

I had same problem couldn’t get them booked together as long waiting list. Did Haz Per. You did better than me by 11 points. That test could go either way, no matter how much practice you get. Clicked too many on one got zero. Other 2 should be a lot easier if you’re prepared. Just doing all practice questions should be enough for theory. Reading the official driving manual should be enough for the other. Got my other 2 in August as well. One of them on the 7th.

Do you know who you are doing training with. I’m still unsure. No transport and nothing local apart from Wallace.

Well done Rob, but don’t expect everyone to hang out the flags for that!

It’s a good score mate, but the practical test is the one that matters…

Best of luck with the theory questions, but again (as long as you revise) it’s pretty easy…

Go’s and puts his flag back

Well done fella, have a pint on me!!!,you’ll have to pay for it yourself though.

Yep, DVLA booking system doesn’t ask or consider, what is an obvious question of booking tests together! :unamused: (Had this myself!)

The book is all you need, as I got 96 out of the 100 with this and a few free short tests on the web.
I’d also recommend: The Official DSA Guide to Driving Goods Vehicles for general useful info, and it also describes the practical test requirements at the back.

As for training and you not having transport; I think you’re going to struggle… People like this forum’s sponsor do residential courses, but the accommodation is not a 2 minute walk from the training centre. Pete Smythe is moving though, and I believe the new base is closer to the B&B. But best you speak to him about that, and he’s in this forum pretty much daily.

Hope that helps.

I can get to wallace without too much trouble on public transport. Being pestered a bit by the sales team. I might hire a car for a week when i’m ready to do course. I was seriously considering doing a couple of sessions with wallace first just to see how it goes and then maybe travel a bit further, maybe check in to a premier inn have a bit of a holiday as well by the sea.

Pete Smythe’s accommodation is free! :open_mouth:

should be able to get this book from local Library… I know Libraries associated with London Borough of Hillingdon have a few copies circulating. and it is the 2009 version as well.

When I was taking my HP test for category B Licence back in 2007 I was advised…whenever you see a Hazard, click once, then again. i.e 2 clicks. but im sure things have changed alot since then

You got your quotes a bit messed up there pal, easily done…

But yeah, I expect your local library would have it. However I’d suggest it’s not a bad book to own. I’d say that the theory test book is the one to book out of a library, as it’s not that much use after you pass. The one I quote is better as a keeper!

Iv got a theory disc. And the clips for hazard perception were real life scenes… then i got there. Started the test n was like wtf is this !! Computer generated clips lol ! Completely different from what id practiced. The clips were so slow and i really thought id failed all the way through !! Tbh i feel more nervous about hazard than the multiple choice as iv been scoring between 90 and 99 on that
