Passed My Cat C!

Failed on Thursday had a bad day due to some personal crap I was dealing with - 8 minors and a serious (mounted the inside of a roundabout on Darlington Ringroad!)

Retest on Tuesday after a day and a half’s extra training - Pass with 2 minors!

Now…do I need to wait and do agency work for two years before bothering to apply for Cat C jobs? (I live in West Yorks)…

Congrats on the pass, no harm in ringing round and seeing what is available to you, may drop on lucky.

Best of luck.

Congrats mate on passing! were are you located i used to live in west Yorkshire. in hemsworth

If they are desperate those 2 year things go out of the window so get in there

Oh? When I contacted Jark (an agency in Wakefield) - they said they had a two year minimum Cat C holding stipulation due to their insurance.
I take it that actual hauliers, etc. just have their own rules on this issue then, regardless of insurance policies?

(Oh and thanks for the fireworks! )

Insurers often state that newly qualified require a higher deductible which can be agreed to if the employer or agency calls the insurer to arrange it

Well done mate. Good luck with job hunting.

Thx - I am back doing supply teaching at the moment - its good to have the Cat C on the back burner though, for when the teaching is dry, and in the holidays…

Doing my C+E in the Easter break

Nice one chap. There ARE companys who take on noobs. Keep pestering, and don’t give up.

Must a quick update: I passed my C+E last week. Two minors, so not too bad, though I was hoping for a clean sheet.
