Have you got LGV Driver CPC? Without it, you cannot drive LGVs commercially.
If you held category C1 on 9 September 2009, including if you acquired this category by a pre-1997 car test, you have initial LGV DCPC by ‘acquired rights’ and can drive commercially until 10 September 2014. Otherwise, you need to take and pass the Module 2 theory and Module 4 practical tests to complete your DCPC before you can drive commercially.
To maintain your DCPC, you have to take 35 hours of periodic training in the five years before your expiry date.
Don’t forget to apply for a digital tachograph driver card if you don’t already have one. Most jobs now require you to have one, even if you land up driving a vehicle with an analogue tachograph or on domestic hours.
Well done Jase and Good Luck runnerbean
@ djw
I passed my car in 91 so I don’t have to do cpc yet even tho 7 hours of my training
I’m ready to rock & roll as you say
Congrats on getting your class two
If you’ve got the money it might be worth getting your Hiab license. This time of year agencies are always after them for builder’s merchants. It is a way forwards if your interested
Well done that man look forward to your next post of your first job
and a wave for u!

You’re all set, then. All the best for the job hunt.
Well done Jase. Just a thought… If you already have a part time job, why look for part time driving? Why not go for full time trucking and part time other stuff
