Passed Class 2 1st time - thank you Gordon Springate

Since starting on this path from October last year I finally passed my Class 2 first time on Friday just passed with 3 minors.

A huge thanks to Gordon Springate Training at Detling and also in particular to Gina for the 16 hours instruction.

I found the test itself to be much easier to drive than I had expected based on the training routes around Chatham/Gillingham/Rochester etc. that I had been driving during the week preceding the test. This held me in good stead I think as I knew what the worst could be.

The DVSA assessor I had at the Gillingham test centre was a decent chap and even had time during the test to have a natter!

CPC to be ironed out (had planned for just going full on 35 hrs but don’t have the holiday time for that plus 5 days Class 1 :unamused: - so having to go back to Mod 2 and Mod 4 route which I didn’t want to do - and then I will be back to start Class 1 training in a few months.

Lol!

Thanks ROG - been waiting for my own set

I would check but some schools you can count c&e training as CPC hours two birds in one stone and a saving on cost to

As you went to G/S to pass i guesse you may be near sittingbourne, jbs haulage sometimes start new drivers on the eurolink estate, just in case its close.

Congratulations, well done

Thanks for the heads up Dave and will check them out. I am in Tonbridge as it happens but am planning to be looking up that neck of the woods as not far to drive if anything is available. As I currently have a job, it will be only for alternate Saturdays for the near future until the wheels of life kick in and I can go permanent trucking
