Passed Class 1....

Ahh Sounds like you got the ‘picky’ examiner then! Aparently he’s never done any haulage just a bit of bus work.

I think it might have been someone else - this guy was very fair, and pretty laid back. I think he was covering for the usual examiner.

dennisw1:
Did you get those poxy lanes Through Chislet?

Apparently they used to take artics through there, but there was too much damage being done to trailers and roadside property

I went through Margate via the staggered junction at Manston (nice and tricky with a 40-ft trailer  ) and back via Birchington. Nice mixture of roads - no time to get bored

jonboy:
anything lined up yet?

I’ve been signed up with Driver Hire for a while doing 7.5 tonners, and they were delighted to know I’d passed, so I’m going to stick with them for a while, and get as much experience as I can on all sorts of different stuff. Going to try and sort out HIAB & ADR tickets through them - may as well give myself as many cards as possible in my hand

They still take Buses through there! :open_mouth:

That the staggered junc by the Aerodrome Museum? What the ■■■■ were they thinking when they laid that out!

Nice 40mph limit in Birchington

this all brings back memories, spent the first twenty years of my life in ramsgate but have lived in yorkshire for the last twenty odd and hav’nt been “home” for a long long time.

That’s the one - could have been designed with HGV tests in mind
